We reunited with old friends this weekend. The last time we spent a weekend together we each had one small child. This time we listened to our eight (!) children squealing and running around together while we caught up. It was a great time, and we were so glad that our throw-up marathon of this weekend didn't start until the Kinsingers left.
This blog is run by the Finks of Greenville for the purpose of keeping our friends and family up to date on our doings and musings.

Happy Bird-Day, Graham!
Graham will officially turn seven when we're in Minnesota, so we celebrated with an Angry Birds party today. Graham is ready for his party and Will is ready for his nap!
Our front door
Graham and I made the pig pinata over the past two weeks
Graham and daddy put the final touches on the giant slingshot
Getting ready to shoot pom-pom pigs
Ready, aim, fire!
After indoor practice, the kids took their bird shooting to a new level. They could choose the ball they shot. The goal was to make the water balloons break. Success!
Pinata time!
Time for the cake
Table talk included lots of boy jokes and heroic stories of poison ivy and losing limbs. Bea and Inga were not amused.
Another Angry Birds shirt!!!
Thanks, friends, for celebrating with us! It was a great party!

Hot Days
Swinging, singing, laughing,
holding hands,
doing schoolwork in creative ways,
practicing 'wedding dancin'" (and begging for wedding cake after - watch out, Brooke Laven!
I have cake monsters!)
and creating disgusting food combinations that only Bop (and Bea - 'I'll pay you!') would try.
See the tomato seeds and mushroom chunks?!

Indoor camping
When it's too hot to do anything outside, we camp inside. Six mini-marshmallows on half of a graham cracker,
4 chocolate chips in between,
30 seconds in the microwave and then top with another cracker,
tie an old sheet to some chairs and voila! Happy, sticky kids!
