GPoD 8.27.2007

This semester our work schedules overlap. For two and a half hours every Monday, Graham will be playing with somebody else while David teaches European history at Duke and Sarah teaches middle school students to read. Graham spent his first Monday playing with his good friend Ava. They became even better friends as the morning went on....

Fun with a bucket

This is the bucket that holds Graham's train set. Apparently, it's just as fun as the train.

'Graham shower. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhshhhhhhhhhh' (Graham is taking a shower, complete with shower noises)

'Pillow shower' (The couch cushions need a shower)

After everything that needed a shower had a shower, the bucket turned into a runway.

Canoe Trip

This last weekend I went on a canoe trip with my dad, brother Josh, and sister Kate. It was awesome. We went on the Namekagon and St Croix rivers in northwest Wisconsin for three days and two nights. The weather was absolutely perfect in the days, and life was made more interesting by thunder showers at night. I can't think of a better way to spend a weekend.

Happy Birthday, Graham!

We celebrated Graham's second birthday today. He loved all of it, especially the singing and candles. He smiled through the whole song, blew out all of his candles, and then looked around and said, "do do again." So we lit the candles and sang 'Happy Birthday' for a second time. He is two, after all.

Sarah had a tall order to top last year's Very Hungry Caterpillar cake. I'm happy to say she rose to the occasion with a magnificent Choo-Choo Train cake. Graham was duly impressed, as were we all.

Minnesota, Part 1

We have had lots of fun playing and visiting relatives and friends in MN. So far, we've spent time with grandparents, and many family members on both sides. We made a quick trip to Devinshire Farm, owned by Sarah's aunt and uncle, and Graham had a blast feeding the cows and 'driving' the tractors.
