GPoD: 6.27.2007

Here's Graham with a fresh haircut. I had to bribe him to sit still in the barber's chair with suckers. He went through four of them, and he was delighted to see, upon returning home, that his tongue had been turned blue. Ah, the pleasures of being almost-two.

Busy

We've been busy so far this summer doing lawn work, finishing the trim on the garage, planting bushes, hosting parties, and putting up crown molding. Graham has been busy doing all of those things, too, and getting very dirty in the process.

Home at Last

I got back last night after six weeks at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Here's a photo of me on Thursday night, looking pleased as punch at the prospect of heading home the next day. It was a long haul. Sarah was a champ at being a single mom for all that time (though she had some very welcome help from her mom), but she's as glad as I am that it's over. Now on to the honeydo list.

After a long day of mowing, Graham was ready for some chocolate ice cream.

GPoD 6.1.2007

We spotted a baby deer in our front yard yesterday morning, and were able to get close enough for Graham to see it before it ran. I have a love/hate relationship with the deer around us. I love that Graham can see them, but I HATE what they did to my once-beautiful day lilies.

Later in the evening, we turned the sprinkler on for the garden, and Graham played in the water and dirt until it was time for a bath and bed.
