Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  This year we had an astronaut, a pirate, and two Tinker Bells.
The kids ran through the field to visit our sweet neighbor Mary Lee.
And then it was off to meet Daddy at Cook-Out for dinner.  We rejoiced greatly when we moved back South and realized that Halloween could again include Cook-Out for dinner.  We also rejoiced that it was 73 degrees and the costumes didn't need to be covered up by winter snow gear as they did in Chicago.
We drove to a charming historic neighborhood in Greenville where the kids enjoyed the decorations and we enjoyed the beautiful architecture.

This was one of our last houses.  Our pirate was done.

PWEASE?!!!!  PWEASE can I have just ONE MORE?

A Week with Bop and Gaga

We had a such a great week with Bop and Gaga!  Last time they were here we were moving in so this was their first 'vacation' to Greenville.
Bop and Graham went to Diamond Hill Mine on Monday and enjoyed some sweet bonding time, lots of digging, and a little geology as well.
We went to McPherson Park, the Greenville Zoo, and the Children's Museum.

Bop and David cut limbs to make two perfect tire swing limbs accessible.
We gave Bop and Gaga a taste for the south with shrimp and grits and a warm October bonfire.

 Tire swings!

Gaga and I stayed up too late one night making Tinker Bell costumes for Bea and Inga.
The final pair of shutters is up!  Our windows are much happier.
 We miss you already!
