BIG PoD 4.23.2009

This is generally how Bea looks when she eats. She's fairly no nonsense - get it in, spit it out, make a mess, done. Then she looks at Inga and is entertained.

This is how Inga looks when she eats:

Inga still gets excited about smashed banana. Please ignore the stained bib - I don't have time to scrub them. Speaking of...has anyone tried the leather bibs out there?
Because they look tempting.

We've been watching When We Left Earth: The NASA Missions. Graham has watched some of it, but after a long day, even rocketships can't keep Graham awake.

BIG PoD 4.20.2009

Our old, free tv went bye,bye this weekend. The Finks have now entered the 21st century! David and Graham were especially excited.

Inga loves horsey rides

Bea has a love-hate relationship with yogurt. She loves it on her tongue, hates it down her throat, and then goes back and forth between cooing and gagging.

Here's Graham trying to sweep up the patio and steps

Inga taking a close look at Graham's train

Bea - I guess I said something shocking.

Inga and Bea love the little dragonfly toy that I was shaking at them

But Graham is more interesting

Look, Mom! I can almost sit up!

Sunbathing amongst the clovers

"Mama, Bea laughs when I do noser nose!"

Happy Inga

Graham has been working really hard to pedal!

Inga is ready for a nap

Graham found a 'baby bubble' in the grass

Relief

In the past 11 days, both girls have had the flu and each has had an ear infection (both right ears), leaving us very sleep-deprived. Yesterday morning we took Bea back in to the doctor and told him that either she needed drugs or we did. Bea was diagnosed with an ear infection and was promptly given a prescription. By last night, things were already looking better. And yes, David and I got four (count them, FOUR!) straight hours of sleep before hunger cries were heard. And today I had two happy, playful babies. Oh, amoxicillin, how I love thee.

Easter

Ding, dong.
"Graham, maybe the Easter bunny came!"

Wow! A playdoh tool kit!

Bea was not happy. Graham was indifferent. Inga thought it was a party.

After dinner, we had our traditional Easter egg hunt.

Graham and Ava found the most eggs!

Kate gave Graham some good hints.
"It's in this area." pause.
"It's by the tree." pause.
"It's at the bottom of the tree." longer pause.
"Ok. See where I'm pointing? It's RIGHT THERE."
He found it.

Emily enjoyed the sun.

Greg took his annual swing ride. David pushed and Alex watched the limb.
