Today

"So honey, what did you do today?"
This is what we did:

We drove the gator around the backyard,

we had a picnic,

we ate frozen cookies and drank milk while being pushed in the tire swing,

we watched the garbage man come and dump our garbage can. And our next door neighbor's, and the neighbor's two doors down...

and Mommy read lots of books, picked up lots of playdoh, and did lots of laundry. That was our day.

Hangin' Out with Weinards

April, 2006 Graham and Jack were bats. Graham didn't know if he liked that arrangement.

March, 2010 Bea, Inga, and Louisa were bats. Bea and Inga seemed thrilled with the new perspective and Louisa was equally entertained, though more so by the girls than by being upside down.

Skiing

Having mastered counting, more than, less than, patterns, and comparing, Graham found another use for unifix cubes: skiing.

They stay on better with rubber bands, Mom.

Look, Mom! Slalom!

It's gonna work better on the table.

Whoa!!!

Hang on!

Sweet. I've got it.

Poor Bea came down with something gross this weekend and has been pretty out of it for the past few days. She, Inga, and Graham have watched the Nursery Rhymes and Ultimate Silly Song Countdown dvds more times than I care to recount. Clearly, Bea hasn't been that entertained by them.

Leo

Our most recent ultrasound pictures included some in 4D. Here we have Leo stretching his/her little arm out. Just a few more weeks and we'll know if Finklet Four is a baby boy or a baby girl!

Grading Papers

Sigh. Groan. Long gulp of coffee. More sighing. "Oh sheesh."
Graham watched Daddy repeat the process a few times and then asked, "Daddy, what's wrong?"

"Well Graham, I'm grading papers."

"Oh. Well Daddy, I can help you when I am finished with my yogurt."

Graham finished quickly and headed straight for the computer.

"See, Mommy. I am writing a paper for Daddy to grade."

"Yes. It is a lot of work."

"Now I'm waiting in my office for it to print."

"See. It's done!"

And then Daddy graded it. It was the only A+ in the pile. I knew we had a gifted child!
