Graham's good friend Jack gave him bathtub crayons for his birthday. Graham has enjoyed creating many masterpieces in our otherwise horrid pink tub (one of the last remaining original items in our house that screams, 'I was built in 1970!').
He narrates as he draws, saying, "How 'bout...red. How 'bout....lellow. How 'bout....pople."

Early Birthday

Graham's second birthday is next Sunday. We are leaving this Wednesday for Minnesota and will celebrate his real birthday there, so Graham needed to open his presents from mommy and daddy before we left.

NC Zoo

We made a family trip to the North Carolina Zoo today in Asheboro. Like last year's trip to the Smithsonian Zoo, Graham's favorite part of the trip was seeing all of those fans in the African jungle house. The picture of Graham pointing up is him showing us one of the fans. We got a great view of the elephants, which Graham was able to identify. Other highlights included the carousal ride with daddy (Graham said, "Up, down, up, down") and the bus ride back to the car. After driving less than a mile toward home, Graham was asleep.

At the farm

We met Chad, Ashley, Jack, and Louisa at Maple View Farm on Friday for ice cream. The boys loved playing on the hay bale with David and Chad, and I loved quality girl time with Ashley and Louisa. It was a perfect North Carolina night.
