A New Wrinkle

We had a follow-up appointment with our OB this morning, which I guess is standard with multiples. The doctor was having trouble getting a good count on the heartrate with doppler, so he called in the ultrasound machine. And guess what we found: one more baby! I don't believe this. It looks like we're going to have to move Graham out to the garage....

And you thought you were high risk before! We'll keep praying. Maybe you should consider moving north where you have lots of access to grandparents for babysitting!

Is this April Fools? I want to rejoice and congratulate but I'm highly suspicious...

Nice. The best I could do was try to trick Lynchburg into thinking they were getting a Chipotle.

You totally got me!!! I gave a nice big gasp for this one!

Okay, I was seriously freaked out on your behalf for a while there. I told my father about the post, and he said "TELL THEM TO STOP HAVING ULTRASOUNDS!"

Seriously, though, I'm delighted to be praying for the health and growth of the growing Fink family and Fink dissertation/job search. It's going to be a busy year!

Sarah & David,
Congratulations, and welcome to the parents of multiples club!! I just looked at your blog this morning and read David's update about another baby. My heart literally dropped to my feet! But then I thought, wait a minute, grandma hasn't called me about a third baby and she would have called me immediately! Then I saw the April fools comment and laughed! Not that triplets are bad, but I would just recommend twins since you're not outnumbered like we were! Between you guys and us we are definitely creating a postive answer for the "is there a history of multiples in your family" question! We'll be praying for Sarah and the babies!

Oh, Grandma....your comment made me laugh, Julie:) Thanks for your prayers. It's a little scary still. I don't think I'll feel great about this pregnancy until they are born!
