B/IPod: 8.20.2008

Graham got to hold his sister Beatrice this evening.

She wasn't so sure she wanted him getting too close . . .

. . . but once Graham made himself useful holding her nuk in place, she calmed right down.

Graham thinks he's going to like being a big brother.

Gaga got to hold Bea, also. Inga was still working on her dinner when we visited this evening, so we left her in the isolette to concentrate on her digestion.

It's so great to see Graham getting to visit his sisters. I'm used to old-school ICU rules that don't let children in. Glad Duke's more enlightened than all that.

P.S. Bea & Inga made their cameo appearance as sermon illustrations (re: the special protection necessary for those who are immature) in my sermon on Sunday. I hope they don't mind. I didn't use their names.

They are so beautiful! It's so exciting to see their perfect little faces with less tubing. Dumb question but are they identical?

We're not sure if they are fraternal or identical. They were in separate sacs and there was a thick membrane, so they're most likely fraternal. There's a 30% chance they're identical. We'll have to do dna testing if we want to find out. Maybe when they're a little older:)
