Durham Bulls Game

We took Graham to his (and our) first Durham Bulls game last night. He loved leaving the babies with a sitter, eating a hotdog, and meeting Wool E. Bull, the Bulls' mascot. We had great seats behind home plate and, fortunately for us, under the stadium overhang. Shortly after the seventh inning stretch it started pouring rain, which just added to the excitement of the evening. And for those Durham readers out there, it's true: hotdogs, fries, and popcorn are all $1 on Thursday nights!

OK once again Im going to take advise from satate side about sport. I currently have ESPN America (free till for atleast the next month) and it appears to be full of baseball (currently the Cubs vs Milwaukee).

I take from what I have seen in the past that you have to get 3 out to get into bat. and the idea is to stop your opposing team from scoring by getting them out before they get to 4th base.

Glad to see Graham enjoyed his first game. Did he understand it though?

You've got the idea. Except we usually call 4th base "home plate."

Graham was much more interested in the mascot, Wool E. Bull, than he was in the actual game. I think we'll try again soon, though.
