Here is Graham checking out an early Christmas present. I'm not quite sure if this hint of a grin represents his amazement at all the little moving parts on his new Excer-Saucer, or an ironic realization that this is the only "play station" he's ever going to get.

how much did you pay for this? we were looking at it today in a few stores---the cheapest was £50!!!
Hah! The cheapest we found it was $57 on amazon.com. Then came craigslist to the rescue: $15.
Not even if they bring back the bible video games I had when I was a kid. By the way, I've always wondered why more video games haven't been made from the bible--especially the Old Testament. I think something along the lines of "The Conquest of Caanan" could compete fairly well with Doom or Quake. And how about something along the lines of Mortal Kombat with bible characters? Sampson vs. David. Nimrod vs. Abner. There could be quite a market here with violent video games for evangelical teenagers. Our little guy, however, with have to content himself with violent literature--Homer, Vergil, etc.
$15---and that is one reason to not move to England. Still, this evening I took Olivia on a walk over to the Thames river, across the Iffley Lock and we sat on a bench to watch and listen to the water rush by and the duck-couples swim about, and listen to the birds amidst the many really old trees sing to one another. Oh, and be on CCTV too. We visited our church for a short time as well-- it's open everyday from 8am-7pm. It's a 2 min. walk from the Iffley lock, so all in all a very beautiful walk-- even if I had to pay £50 for the plastic babysitter.
